1924 Vladimir Horowitz was 20 years old. The Festival “Piano en Saintonge” not exist yet. 1944 Samson François was 20 years old but the Festival “Piano en Saintonge” still did not exist. 1991 Creation of “Piano en Saintonge” or “Large Interpreters-New Generation”. Since then, in various sites of the Province of Saintonge: the “Abbaye aux Dames” in Saintes, the Park of a very romantic castle, the Romance church of a village, the public comes to listen in concert of young high level musicians who will be the "stars of the piano" of these next years, selected by our artistic adviser Anne QUEFFELEC
Thus a many young pianists about which one speaks today in the national musical press have jointly to be programmed in “Piano en Saintonge” since 1991.
